Cooper Institute

09/11/2026

In conjunction with the Migrant Rights Network's National Day of Action, Cooper Institute will be hosting a film screening at 12:30 PM on Sunday, September 20th at the Charlottetown Library Auditorium. We will be screening two short (30-40 minute) documentaries on migrant justice.

My Friend Omar explores the abuses faced by a Guatemalan seasonal agricultural worker in Quebec, and Chaos & Control is a documentary produced by our friends at the Madhu Verma Migrant Justice Centre in Fredericton which dives into the lives of migrant workers in New Brunswick. We will have time allotted for short reflections on each film.

Snacks and refreshments will be provided. Please circulate amongst your networks, all are welcome!
