See ya this weekend for some gay climbing at the Canmore Climbing Gym!

New to climbing? CCG Staff and Canmore Pride volunteers will be around to help you get started. Climbing shoes are free to rent for this event.

LAST MINUTE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: Volunteer with Elections Alberta and help raise funds for Canmore Pride!

We have an opportunity to raise funds for Canmore Pride by providing volunteers to help count ballots for Alberta's referendum on Monday, October 19.

For every hour you volunteer, Canmore Pride receives $20! Your time will directly support our year-round programs, events, and community initiatives.

Available Shifts — Monday, October 19

Canmore Provincial Building
4:00 PM – approximately midnight – 8 volunteers needed
11:30 PM – 8:30 AM – 4 volunteers needed

Springbank Hangars (near Callaway Park, Calgary)
Up to 50 volunteers needed per shift.
8:00 PM start – Until approximately 2:00 AM, or continue until 8:00 AM
11:30 PM – 8:30 AM

What's Involved?
> Age requirement: Volunteers must be 16 or older.
> Commitment: Volunteers must complete their full selected shift.
> Screening: Adult volunteers must complete a free online criminal record check through Triton before their shift. Elections Alberta will send instructions directly to volunteers.
> Training: One online training session before the referendum, plus on-site training when counting begins. Details will be provided.
> Fundraising: Canmore Pride receives $20 per volunteer hour, plus $0.57/km for eligible travel to and from the counting site when volunteers travel more than 25 km one way.

For example, 10 volunteers could help raise approximately $2,000 for Canmore Pride!

One of your biggest successes of the 2026 Canmore Pride Festival was doubling our numbers at the Block Party! This year, we combined a pancake breakfast, pride market, performances with crafts and a photo booth at , speeches, flag raising, and pride march into one big celebration! We had nearly 500 people come out to support our 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Thank you to each and every one of you who joined us!
