❤️‍🩹 Buddy is out of the hospital, but he still needs your help

After days of hospitalization and 24 hour veterinary treatment, we’re so happy to share that Buddy has officially arrived at Parachutes for Pets, where he’ll continue his recovery! ❤️

For those just meeting Buddy, this 9-month-old pup was hit by a car and rushed to emergency clinic with injuries to his lungs. He’s come a long way over the last few days, but he still has some healing to do.

And while we’re thrilled to have him here, we still need to raise at least $2,000 to cover his outstanding veterinary bills and ongoing care.

In the coming days, Buddy will continue receiving his medications, attending veterinary rechecks, and getting plenty of rest as he recovers. He’ll also be treated to a much-needed grooming spa day once he’s healed enough, and in the meantime, he’s busy settling in, getting to know our team and the other dogs, and soaking up all the love.

If you’ve been following Buddy’s story and want to help, even a small donation can make a difference. Whether it’s $5 toward a new stuffed toy, $10 toward his food and everyday essentials, or a contribution toward his medical expenses, every bit of support helps us care for him as he recovers.

Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared his story, and supported Buddy so far. We’re so grateful to have him here and can’t wait to share more of his recovery with you! 🐾❤️

This Thanksgiving, help us make sure no pet's bowl is empty.

Pets-Giving is back, and we’re asking our community to help us provide pet food to families who could use a little extra support this Thanksgiving.

🧡 $50 = 1 month of food

Every donation helps us fill another bowl and keep pets where they belong — with the people who love them.

We'e still smiling after this year’s Parachutes for Pets Gala.

To every single person who helped bring this night to life — thank you.

To our incredible sponsors and supporters, including The Real Estate District, Calgary Flames Foundation, Plintz Real Estate, Pete the Plumber, SERVPRO, Hotel Arts, and Chasin’ Tails — your support makes it possible for us to continue our work.

To everyone who donated an item or experience to our silent and live auctions, placed a bid, bought a ticket, attended the evening, volunteered their time, shared our work, or supported us from afar, you were part of making this night possible.

And, of course, a huge thank you to our amazing Parachutes for Pets ambassadors for doing what they do best: bringing a whole lot of love (and a little bit of chaos 🐶) wherever they go.

We’re still waiting for all of the final numbers to come in, but we can share one VERY exciting update… We are incredibly close to our $100,000 fundraising goal! Ensuring hundreds more youth and seniors are able to access Paws for Mental Health programming, designed to reduce barriers to mental health support, combat isolation and loneliness, and provide accessible, animal-assisted opportunities to support mental and emotional well-being.

There are so many people who played a part in this evening — our sponsors, donors, auction contributors, volunteers, vendors, guests, staff, ambassadors, and community, and we are so grateful to every one of you.

We can't wait to see you next year!

Our Pet Food Bank is running critically low on wet/canned dog food, and we need your help keeping our shelves stocked.

Every week, we support hundreds of Pet Food Bank clients and their pets, and wet dog food is one of the items we go through fastest. For many dogs, a month of wet food can mean 30+ cans for just one dog. When you're helping feed hundreds of pets, those cans disappear incredibly quickly.

For many of the families we support, access to pet food can make the difference between struggling to keep their pet fed and being able to keep their best friend at home, where they belong.

If you're able to help, we will gratefully accept any brand, flavour or size of wet dog food.

A case of food might not feel like much, but to someone wondering how they're going to feed their dog next week, it can mean everything.
