Message from the Bighorn Heritage ATV Society:
Just a little over a couple weeks away.
Bighorn Heritage ATV Society was out at the Hummingbird with permits in place to assess the trails.
It’s been reported to be dry out there with no water laying in the usual spots.
Still some snow in spots between Onion Lake and Pleasant Valley. Water levels on creeks are extremely high right now with the snow melt and rains and we need to be aware and be prepared.
This being said, if people can bring shovels, pick axes and reflective vests for safety. If you have a chainsaw safety certificate please bring the appropriate safety gear to use with the chainsaw.
We are still asking that people email [email protected] with number of people coming with you, including yourself so we have numbers for the supper that is generously donated by Parkland Sled & ATV.
Come out and enjoy the weekend. I believe we have some other goodies that are being donated from our sponsors:
S5 Powersports Inc.,
Rainy Creek Powersports Ltd.,
Riderz,
Turple Bros. Ltd.,
Paradis Brothers Logging,
Bernie Lublinkhof Welding LTD), and you can also put your name in for a chance to win a 1 day free ATV rental from Ram River Rentals (details in poster). And we have another surprise donation that will be presented out at the Hummingbird. So please come join us and I hope I didn’t miss any sponsors. If I did, we do apologize and we will have photos to come after the weekend.
BHAS would also like to thank Alberta Off Highway Vehicle Association and all of our past and present volunteers. It takes a group of great people to make this all happen.
