We believe, and science supports, that human milk is the best option for any baby and that all babies have the right to the life-saving nutrients of pasteurized donor human milk.

When moms have excess milk, the gift of that donation supports life saving measures for premature babies and their families in the NICU.

Hospital demand is high. We urgently need more milk donors. NorthernStar welcomes moms like Meghan, willing to donate excess milk. Our screening process is simple, our team guides every step of the process. Every act of generosity adds up. When hundreds of moms each share a little extra milk, the impact is huge. Claire, and her son Warren are a testament to that. 

When Warren was born premature, access to donor human milk played a needed role in ensuring he progressed to a healthy baby going home from the NICU. Claire’s milk came in during this time, and after her own son received donation of milk, she chose to also donate back to NorthernStar for other babies and families. 

You don’t need a massive oversupply to become a donor, anything counts, and everything has an impact. 💜
