Our condolences to Brian’s family and friends🕯️

Our sincere condolences to the friends and family of Brian Cowan, who passed away earlier this month. Brian was a crucial member of our curling community, serving on the boards of Curling Canada and Curling Ontario. He was a leader and visionary in the governance of our sport. Brian made his communities better places through his volunteering and leadership in various professional, healthcare, sporting and community initiatives in Ontario and British Columbia.

Curling Canada’s Assistant Ice Technician course is coming to Chilliwack, B.C. this summer! ☀️

This updated one-day AIT course is designed for volunteers and assistants working under the guidance of a Certified Head Ice Technician. Participants who complete the course will receive Trained Assistant Ice Technician status.

📅 Saturday, August 8, 2026
⏰ 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Topics include:
✔️ Safety
✔️ Scraping, pebbling & clipping
✔️ Temperature monitoring
