On June 4, MCABC presented to B.C.’s Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services, calling for targeted investments in Budget 2027 that support skilled workforce development and industry productivity and modernization.

On August 11, the Committee released its Consultation Report, which includes numerous MCABC priorities and direct references to two of our three recommendations. Of the Committee’s 81 official recommendations to Government, several speak directly to our industry’s priorities and interests.

Overall, the Report demonstrates strong support for our key asks, with our three recommendations informing the Committee's discussion on the future of B.C.'s skilled workforce and built environment.

As we move closer to Budget 2027, MCABC will continue to engage with government to ensure the Province’s capital and development plans support our industry’s current and future needs and enable our members’ long-term business success.

Our industry's flagship education event, the MCABC Leadership Conference, returns to Vancouver on April 6-7, 2027 at the award-winning Paradox Hotel.

It's a new slot on the calendar and a luxurious new venue, but make no mistake: next year's Conference will be loaded with the same high-impact networking, practical education sessions, and innovative ideas that made this year such a hit.
