Did you know you can donate disability equipment through CDRS?

If you have equipment sitting unused — a wheelchair, walker, hospital bed, lift — it could change someone’s life.

And if you’re looking for equipment, our free classifieds list real items from real Canadians, often at a fraction of retail.

It’s a better system when we share.

The Disability Tax Credit (DTC) is one of the most valuable — and most underused — tax benefits in Canada.

If approved, it can give you:
💰 Up to $1,500+ back on your tax return annually
📈 Access to the RDSP (up to $90,000 in government grants)
🔓 Gateway to other provincial programs and benefits

Many Canadians don’t apply because they think the process is too complex or they won’t qualify.

It’s worth trying. CDRS can help point you to the right resources.

The employment gap for Canadians with disabilities is one of Canada’s most urgent equity issues.

Only 59% of working-age Canadians with disabilities are employed — compared to 80% without disabilities.

That’s not a capability gap. That’s a systems gap.

Inaccessible workplaces, lack of accommodation, transportation challenges, and hiring bias keep talented people out.

CDRS connects people with disabilities to employment services, job programs, and workplace accommodation resources across Canada.

• Assistive Devices Program (ADP)

• Provincial housing supplements
• And dozens more by province

Stop guessing. Start searching.

What’s one accessibility change that would make the biggest difference in your daily life?

Could be a ramp, closed captions, remote work options, better transit, plain-language forms...

Drop it in the comments. 👇

Every answer shapes what advocacy looks like. Your voice matters.

CDRS is here to connect Canadians with disabilities to the supports that already exist — and to push for the ones that don’t yet.
