Our Orillia Q***r Craft Circle is canceled due to inclement weather with a possible postponement date to be announced as soon as possible.

We urge folks to stay home & stay safe during the storm. There may be flash floods and water pooling on roads due to heavy rainfall and frozen ground with little ability to absorb the rainfall. As such we have decided to cancel due to safety concerns.

Our Story

It may be hard to believe, but we started out with just one flag raising and a few events back in 2012. Now, we have grown to a truly county-wide movement that is slowly building up our community.

In May of 2012, Mary Sue Robinet - our founding chair - brought together a group of people to pick up the torch of activism and celebration in our community. Wanting a truly county-wide approach that addressed every community regardless of size, what has come to be Fierté Simcoe Pride was called Simcoe Pride. A Pride for all of Simcoe County. Now in our seventh year, we continue to grow to meet the needs of our community while we maintain our grassroots approach to building community and bringing change.

A brief recap of our last few years...

2012 – Simcoe Pride forms on May 13 and after just a few weeks of planning Simcoe Pride happens from August 3–11.
