It’s that exciting time of year again! Tickets are now officially on sale for the Rotary Club of Wahroonga’s Annual Christmas Raffle, and we need your energy and support to make this our most successful year yet.

With $4,000 worth of fantastic prizes on offer, there is plenty to get excited about. Even more importantly, every single ticket sold helps provide crucial school bursaries for local families navigating the challenges of raising a child with a disability.

What a privilege to spend the morning with the Rotary Club of Wahroonga and to have the opportunity to share the story of The Village Chef.

There is something incredibly special about being in a room filled with people who have given so much of their time, experience and energy in service of others. To be invited to speak amongst such esteemed company was both humbling and deeply encouraging.

We had the opportunity to share not only what we do at The Village Chef, but why we do it.

Yes, we prepare and deliver meals - but our purpose has always been about so much more than food. It is about connection, dignity, wellbeing and helping people remain connected to the communities they call home.

We also shared some of the journey we are on as an organisation: strengthening our foundations, investing in quality, nutrition and compliance, building new community partnerships, and creating opportunities for people of all abilities to contribute, belong and thrive.

What resonated most for us this was the shared belief that strong communities are built when people choose to show up for one another.

Thank you to the Rotary Club of Wahroonga for your warm welcome, your generosity of spirit and for giving The Village Chef the opportunity to share our story.

We may each serve our community in different ways, but ultimately, it takes a village. 💛

𝗡𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽.

When the water came through Rasuwa and Nuwakot on 26 August, people were already at work helping each other. Neighbours carrying neighbours out of the mud. Kitchens opened. Blankets found for people who had lost everything by lunchtime.

They are not asking for much. Clean water. A tarpaulin. A first aid kit. A little cash so a family can decide for themselves what they need most.

Rotary Australia World Community Service (RAWCS) is helping them keep going. We work with trusted partners on the ground to get your donation where it is needed.

Creating Change Domestic Violence Prevention and Healing workshops.
The program consists of 3 FREE separate art-based workshops, funded by Ku-ring-gai Council, designed to support awareness, wellbeing and creative expression in relation to domestic and family violence.

Creating Change: Family Together - for families *children 14+
Held at Gordon Library on the following dates and times:

Every Bat Has a Story - for men
Held at St Ives Wahroonga Cricket Club from 3:30pm-5:30pm on the following dates:
