It was wonderful to welcome members of the War Vets RSL sub-Branch and residents from RSL ANZAC Village to our North Sydney office today.

Our guests enjoyed a tour of the office and morning tea with the team - a great chance to catch up, strengthen connections and spend time together.

Sunday, October 11 marked 25 years since the commencement of Operation Slipper.

We honour the service and sacrifice of all Australians who served in Afghanistan, and the families who supported them through deployment, transition and beyond.

At RSL LifeCare, some of our own team members served in Afghanistan and other operational theatres. In a special story, they share reflections on service, resilience and the importance of ongoing support for veterans and families.

The Poppy Ball is returning in 2026! ⚓🚢

Last year, it was a full house aboard HMAS Canberra (III) for an unforgettable evening celebrating community, service and support for Australia’s veterans and their families.

From powerful stories from our veteran community to an evening of entertainment, connection and fundraising, the 2025 Poppy Ball was a night that reminded us of what can be achieved when our community comes together in support of those who have served.

As we prepare to bring the Poppy Ball to life once again in 2026, we’re looking back at some of the memorable moments that made last year’s event so special.

This year, we look forward to bringing our community together once more to honour service, strengthen connections and continue our commitment to supporting veterans and their families.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of an Australian Army soldier during a training exercise at the Mount Bundey Training Area in the Northern Territory. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with the soldier's family, friends, fellow service personnel, and all those affected by this tragic event. We also wish the injured soldiers a full and speedy recovery.

The Australian soldier who died in a military training exercise near Darwin yesterday has been identified as 28-year-old Corporal Brendan Hannam.
