🚨 ADRA is on the ground in Nepal, providing shelter kits and water purification drops to families who have lost their homes in the devastating floods. We are working closely with local authorities and other responding agencies to coordinate critical relief efforts for affected families.

More than 1,000 people are missing across Nepal and Tibet after a wall of mud and rock collapsed into a Himalayan river on 26 August, sending catastrophic flash floods through towns and valleys.

ADRA has deployed a team to the area. With roads and bridges swept away, access remains challenging, but our team are doing all they can to help those affected. We are liaising with other responding agencies to ensure we have the greatest reach possible, and will be responding with either food or shelter, depending on the greatest gap in assistance.

No one should lose their life to help and protect others.

As a member of the Church Agencies Network Disaster Operations (CANDO), this World Humanitarian Day we join the call for the protection and support of all people delivering aid.

Today, we remember those who have been lost and call for greater respect for humanitarian law and the people who serve on the frontlines of crisis.

CAN DO is supported by the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade through the Australian Humanitarian Partnership.

🏃 ADRA's Race Around Australia is a virtual event that takes place during the month of September. This event will kick off the ADRA Appeal and will raise funds to help Aussies in need.
