“I thank my God upon every remembrance of you.” — Philippians 1:3 (KJV)

Farewell Dinner for Our Solomon Islands Sister, Chelcia Gomese Sunday September 27.

We were blessed to share a special farewell dinner with our dear sister, Chelcia Gomese, as she returned to Sydney in August to continue and complete her PhD studies, from Honiara, Solomon Islands.

In the lead-up to our July Mission Trip to the Solomon Islands, Chelcia was an incredible blessing to our team. She generously assisted us with photos of our mission sites, weather updates, local information, errands, and online Zoom meetings to help us prepare and plan. Her willingness to serve, her kindness, and her support made a tremendous difference to our preparations, and we are truly grateful for all she did.

During her time back in Sydney, we were fortunate to spend precious moments with her at our respective churches and gather together to say farewell. While we will miss her presence in Sydney, we pray for God’s continued guidance, strength, and wisdom as she completes her PhD journey back home in the Solomon Islands.

Chelcia, thank you for your beautiful spirit of service and for being such a blessing to our Solomon Island mission team. May God continue to open doors, bless your studies, and guide you in all that lies ahead. Until we meet again, may His love and grace go with you always!

A meaningful and blessed week on beautiful Norfolk Island, serving in the areas of Prayer Ministries, Women’s Ministries, and Finance September 16-23.

It was a privilege to connect with our church family, encourage and strengthen our ministries, and support the important work of the church. Beyond the meetings and responsibilities, this trip was a wonderful reminder that ministry is about people, relationships, faith, and our shared commitment to God’s mission.

Thank you to Pr Anders Svensson, his family Emma and the children, Elders Laurie Quintal, amazing ministry couple Ken and Julie Weslake, Gary and Di Summerscales, Snowy and all the Norfolk Island church members. I am grateful for the warm hospitality, fellowship, and the opportunity to serve alongside dedicated church members and leaders who continue to faithfully support the work of God on the island.

Every visit is a reminder that, no matter where we are, we are united by one faith, one purpose, and one mission, to share the love of Jesus and make a difference in the lives of others.

Leaving Norfolk Island with a thankful heart, cherished memories, and renewed inspiration for the ministry God has entrusted to us. May He continue to bless His church, strengthen our leaders, and guide every ministry as we serve together for His glory.

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Galatians 6:9 (NKJV)

The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him. Proverbs 20:7 (NKJV)

It was a blessing and a privilege to visit Sydney Chinese Seventh-day Adventist Church on 5 September and share a special Father’s Day sermon.

Thank you to the church family for the warm welcome, fellowship, and opportunity to worship together. It was a beautiful reminder of God’s love, the importance of family, and the invaluable role fathers play in leading, loving, and nurturing their families in faith.

May God continue to strengthen and guide all fathers to lead with love, wisdom, patience, and godly character, leaving a legacy of faith for generations to come.
