4WD South Australia Established by like minded clubs to represent the interests of recreational four wheel drivers in SA Four Wheel Drive South Australia Inc.

(4WDSA or FWDSA) was established by like minded clubs to represent the interests of recreational 4WDrivers in SA. It was also recognised that it had a role to promote and educate club members as to the responsibilities accompanying the pleasure of four wheel driving as a recreation. It has expanded from the early days of 3 or 4 clubs to 31 clubs - and growing. This is a non-profit organisation that actively supports the Royal Flying Doctor Service at both association and club level.

Better late than never - Happy World Environment Day

Today is World Environment Day, a global moment to recognise the importance of our environment, and the role each of us plays in protecting it.

This year’s theme focuses on climate action, highlighting that signals from our planet are clear and urgent and that our response must be urgent, too.

Encouragingly, climate action is accelerating globally, from renewable energy to climate responsive planning in cities and regions.

SA is a global leader in the green energy transition, working towards 100% net renewable energy generation by next year.

DEW is part of the momentum, helping make South Australia cooler, safer, prosperous and more liveable, now and for the future.

At DEW, we're helping create a cooler, safer and more liveable state through urban greening through Green Adelaide, biodiversity conservation, healthier rivers and coasts, sustainable park management, and initiatives that reduce future risks from floods, bushfires and coastal erosion.

Together, we're helping build a more resilient future for South Australia.

If you are out and about in the Riverland and you see one of these, make sure you report the sighting

⚠️ Our trail cameras have captured a rare sighting of a sambar deer in an orchard near Loxton North.

Sambar deer can grow very large (up to 300kg!) – making them a potential danger to people and a hazard on the roads. They can also cause significant damage to horticultural crops, irrigation infrastructure and the environment.

If you see a deer or any signs of deer damage, please report it to the Murraylands and Riverland Landscape Board via:

📞 or give us a call on 08 8580 1800

Community reports are vital in supporting our deer control program and helping protect our region.
