4WD South Australia Established by like minded clubs to represent the interests of recreational four wheel drivers in SA Four Wheel Drive South Australia Inc.

(4WDSA or FWDSA) was established by like minded clubs to represent the interests of recreational 4WDrivers in SA. It was also recognised that it had a role to promote and educate club members as to the responsibilities accompanying the pleasure of four wheel driving as a recreation. It has expanded from the early days of 3 or 4 clubs to 31 clubs - and growing. This is a non-profit organisation that actively supports the Royal Flying Doctor Service at both association and club level.

Sounds like a plan

A lot of people are carrying on about the wildflowers at the moment… but to be fair, they really are incredible.

We’ve all just been away for a week and everywhere through the Flinders and Outback region is looking absolutely amazing right now. The colour, the green country, the wildflowers — it’s a completely different Outback to what people picture most of the year.

This is probably our favourite time of year. No need for the heaters, but not quite hot enough for the air conditioner either. The days are beautiful, the nights are comfortable and the weather is just about perfect.

If you’ve got no plans for the October school holidays, it might be a very good excuse to head this way. Time is running out to see the country looking like this before summer rolls in and everything starts to change again.

And sometimes, you really do just need to stop and smell the flowers.

South Australia continues to respond to detections of H5 bird flu across the state.

To help keep communities informed, the South Australian Government is hosting a community forum in Willunga on Tuesday 6 October, from 6pm.

Hear from government leaders and experts including the Minister for Climate, Environment and Water and Minister for Tourism, the Hon Emily Bourke MLC, and representatives from the Department of Primary Industries and Regions, Department for Environment and Water and SA Health.

This is an opportunity to learn more about H5 bird flu, the preparedness measures currently in place as well as the animal, human and environmental health considerations.

This forum is free and open to the public. Registration is essential due to venue capacity.
