Yesterday we delivered our 200th General Awareness Talk on the Torrens to Darlington Project .

Since 20 May 2025, 5,137 workers have been MATES Inducted on the project. Every one of them has spent 30 minutes with our team learning how to spot when a mate isn’t travelling well, and what to do about it.

That’s a lot of people on one project who can now start a conversation, keep someone safe and connect them with help.

Thank you to the Torrens to Darlington Project team and every worker who has made time for MATES as part of their induction.

The team at Light Regional Council in Freeling recently took part in MATES General Awareness Training. 🧡

The session gave participants the opportunity to learn more about mental health and su***de prevention, how to recognise when someone may need support, and the role we can all play in checking in with the people around us.

It’s great to see local workplaces making space for these conversations and helping strengthen support within their teams and communities.

This training was delivered with the support of Country SA PHN, helping make MATES training more accessible across regional South Australia.

⛳❤️💚 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝗱𝗮𝘆! 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲!

What an incredible day of golf, generosity and community spirit at Mount Pleasant & District Golf Club on Friday!

Our sold-out Swing for a Cause Charity Golf Day brought together 144 golfers, local businesses, sponsors and supporters, all united by one goal: making a difference for two South Australian charities.

From the early morning tee-off to the fantastic atmosphere around the course, the friendly competition, plenty of laughs and an incredible raffle and auction, it was a day to remember!

And we're thrilled to announce that together, we raised over $24,000! 🎉

These funds will be shared between Cystic Fibrosis SA and MATES in Construction SA, helping both organisations continue their important work across our state.

❤️ For Cystic Fibrosis SA, this means continuing to provide practical and financial assistance, hospital support, education, advocacy and connection for South Australians living with cystic fibrosis and their families.

💚 For MATES in Construction SA, it means supporting vital mental health and su***de prevention initiatives, delivering training, building stronger connections across the construction industry and ensuring workers and their families know where to turn for support.

We’re proud to be the Charity Partner for Showcase SA’s inaugural International Men’s Day Lunch 2026. 🧡

Taking place on Friday 20 November at SkyCity Adelaide, the lunch will bring together South Australia’s business community for meaningful conversations around men’s health, wellbeing and connection.

With SA Police Commissioner Grant Stevens joining as guest speaker, the event is an opportunity to listen, connect and keep conversations about men’s wellbeing moving forward.

Funds raised on the day will support MATES in Construction SA and our work helping build safer, stronger and more connected workplaces across South Australia.

Swing for a Cause is underway!

A full field teed off at Mount Pleasant & District Golf Club this morning with people from across the construction industry and the local community coming together for MATES in Construction SA and Cystic Fibrosis SA.

It's been great to see so many people getting behind two local charities that support people and families across SA.

As Mental Health Month draws to a close, the reminder stays the same: you never really know what someone else may be carrying. 🧡

A tough week, pressure at work, something happening at home — not everything is visible from the outside.

That’s why small things matter. Being patient. Making time for a conversation. Checking in again if something doesn’t feel right. Looking out for a mate.

Mental Health Month may put extra focus on these conversations, but they matter every day of the year.

Great to spend time with the team at Bishop Building in Kapunda for MATES General Awareness Training. 🧡

The session focused on building a better understanding of mental health and su***de prevention, the importance of looking out for your mates, and knowing where support is available when it’s needed.

It was great to see the team engaged in the session with one very relaxed four-legged attendee keeping an eye on proceedings too. 🐾

A great start to General Awareness Training with the team at Built’s AFS Tower 2.

Around 20 workers took part in the first session, with plenty more to come as MATES training continues across the project.

G*T helps build a shared understanding of mental health and su***de prevention, gives workers the confidence to look out for their mates, and makes sure people know where support is available when it’s needed.

A big thank you to Built for getting the rollout underway and continuing to invest in the wellbeing of people across the project.

We couldn’t think of a better place to bring Swing for a Cause to life than Mount Pleasant & District Golf Club.

On Friday 30 October, this picturesque Adelaide Hills course will welcome our sold-out field of golfers, along with sponsors and supporters, as MATES in Construction SA and Cystic Fibrosis SA come together for one very special day.

A huge thank you to the Club and its team for welcoming us and helping make the day possible. With a beautiful 18-hole course, a strong local community and plenty planned both on and off the fairway, it’s shaping up to be a fantastic day at Mt Pleasant.

We can’t wait to see the course come alive as everyone comes together for some friendly competition, connection and, most importantly, to raise vital funds for both charities. ❤️💚
