Introducing Solar Harvest Community Energy Co-operative, a business for good aiming to empower people to take control of their energy future.

Solar Harvest was formed as a co-op to support the transition to renewable energy, including through better understanding and management of energy use.

Through investment, independent guidance and practical support, they help individuals and organisations to reduce their energy costs and shift to using solar and batteries.

For many people, energy costs can feel overwhelming. Solar Harvest works with communities to reduce those barriers by helping people better understand and take control of their energy use.

⭐ Here are some ways you can engage with Solar Harvest:

🌱 Become a member and support local renewable energy projects.
🤝 Volunteer your skills and contribute to initiatives that support the energy transition.
🏛 Join the Board and help guide the future of the cooperative.

If you are interested in being part of community-led energy solutions, Solar Harvest would love to hear from you: https://solarharvest.coop/

Final Call! One day left to book your spot. Registration closes at midday tomorrow.

This Friday we'll gather for a new Business for Good Group Mentoring session. If you haven't attended one yet, here’s a bit of information about what to expect.

These facilitated sessions are designed in a comprehensive format where we start by building a better understanding of what a Business for Good is, the many ways of being one and where your business sits across the Business for Good spectrum. We also have discussions in small groups around topics shaped by the community. The topics depend on what attendees would like to explore.

What makes this session so valuable is that you can bring your own topics and interests, while connecting with others on a similar journey of building a business that genuinely prioritises positive, lasting impact.

Meet a business for good turning hard to recycle plastic into practical, hands-on circular economy action.

Daniel Mee is the founder of Recycled Plastic Panels (RPP), a local community project working to give post-consumer plastic a second life. Through small-scale recycling, education and community engagement, RPP educates people to see plastic as a resource that can be collected, sorted, melted and made into something useful again.

RPP works with councils, schools, businesses and community groups to demonstrate the circular economy in action. The new Melt & Make experience gives people a hands-on look at how plastic is recycled. Using shredded plastic lids and a portable extruder, participants turn 100% recycled plastic into take-home products like our cute mini combs.

Daniel also runs Sorting Parties which bring people together to sort plastic lids ready for recycling, but is also the catalyst for stronger community connections. This addictive process of sorting lids into categories is an easy inclusion to your eco-conscious or wellbeing program.

⭐ Here are some ways you can engage with RPP:

💬 If you’re a school, council, business or community organisation looking for an engaging way to build community while doing good, Sorting Parties are an easy win that practically anyone, young or old, can participate in.

💬 If you’re organising a fair, expo, community day or any event and want to demonstrate the circular economy, Melt & Make is a perfect match. Event goers don’t just hear about recycling, they see it, touch it and make something from 100% recycled plastic they can take with them.

💬 If you can use a 450 x 250 x 5/12/16/20 mm (+/- 1mm) panel of recycled plastic, or want advice on what would work best for your project, get in touch.

That's a wrap on our first regional Group Mentoring session!

Yesterday, we had a truly lovely session in Murray Bridge and a wonderful reminder of just how much innovation, leadership and positive impact is happening across our regions.

One of the things we cherish most about Group Mentoring is the space it creates for honest conversations, shared learning and new possibilities. Participants arrive with questions, experiences and challenges. Through conversation, listening and collaboration, they begin weaving solutions together. One idea sparks another. One perspective opens a new possibility. Everyone contributes and everyone leaves with something valuable.

🌟 Thank you to our wonderful participants for your trust, generosity and willingness to share your experiences with each other. You are the people behind the impact and the reason these sessions are so meaningful.

🌟 A special thank you to the Murraylands Skills Centre, the Rural City of Murray Bridge and their incredible team for creating such a welcoming space and providing the delicious local catering.

We're looking forward to gathering again in Adelaide in just a few weeks.
Join us at the next session and experience it for yourself.
