This is what it looks like when young people are empowered to challenge themselves, set goals, and reach them!

10 Scouts from our group received their peak award at a group ceremony on the weekend. We say Bravo to -

Finn and Theia for receiving their Joey Scout Challenge Award
Felix, Fraser, Rory, and Keanon for receiving their Grey Wolf Award
Charlie, Oscar, and Finn for receiving their Australian Scout Award
Emily for receiving her Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award

To our young people, congratulations on your efforts and achieving your goals! We are so very proud of you. To our leaders, thank you for your continual support of our Scouts. And to families, thank you for being the cheering squad, the organisers, and for your constant support.

Some very exciting mail arrived at the den this week!

2 of our Cub Scouts have been successful recipients of the Dick and Pip Smith LTAF Funding (Leadership Through Adventure Fund). Both Cub Scouts have planned a Grey Wolf adventurous journey in the Brisbane C*D, and with the funding support they have included climbing the Story Bridge as part of their journey!

Keep an eye out in November for their journey report. Thank you to Scouts Australia for supporting this journey!

Our Cub Scouts have been on an adventure for ! They spent 6 hours walking 13km of tracks around Ewan Maddock dam, looking and learning about the local fauna and flora. We met many people on the journey as well as dogs and horses and even a water snake!
