Dear Beyond the Book community,

After 28 incredible years, we’ve made the tough decision to pause our festival for now.

We want to say a massive thank you to all the schools, students, authors, and sponsors who’ve been part of this amazing journey.

From author talks that left us star-struck to workshops that sparked creativity, we’ve shared so many unforgettable moments.

While the festival is taking a break, we hope the love for reading and writing we’ve celebrated together continues to grow.

To everyone who’s been part of Beyond the Book - THANK YOU! 🙏🥹❤️

You’ve helped create a legacy of literacy that will live on in countless young readers.

We are so looking forward to launching another amazing book written by long time festival favourite, Peter Carnavas

Here’s Florence, thinking about the treat she’ll get after our photo shoot for my novel, Leo and Ralph.
I’m incredibly proud of this book, about a boy and his imaginary alien friend. I’ll be launching it at Beyond the Book this Thursday evening, 5:30pm, at Immanuel Lutheran College. It’s a great chance for families to meet a bunch of authors, and I’d love to see you there.
