I was 12 years old the first time I knew something was wrong.
I just didn't have the words for it yet. And for a long time, neither did anyone else.
What followed were years of pain that I pushed through, minimised, and quietly carried while raising my family and showing up for everyone around me. Years of appointments where I left feeling more confused than when I walked in. Years of wondering if this was just what life was supposed to feel like.
It wasn't. But it took a long time to believe that.
In 2021 I organised a small high tea fundraiser and shared my story publicly for the first time. I was so emotional. But what happened in that room changed everything. Because the women there weren't just listening, they were nodding. They knew exactly what I was talking about. They had been carrying the same thing, or quietly, on their own, for years or perhaps knew someone who did.
I realised that afternoon that we didn't just need awareness. We needed each other.
Magnolia Health was born in 2023 from that very moment. A place where no woman has to navigate pelvic pain alone. Where community, care and practical support are always within reach.
If you are somewhere in the middle of your own journey right now, still searching for answers, still trying to be believed, still figuring out what comes next β I want you to know that this community was built for you.
You are not alone. You are exactly why Magnolia exists. π
