💛 Congratulations to our newest SLSQ Life Member, Craig Law!

Life Membership is SLSQ’s highest honour, recognising outstanding service and an enduring contribution to our movement.

Since beginning his surf lifesaving journey in 2004, Craig has contributed as a lifesaver, Club President, coach, team manager, selector and mentor across Club, Branch, State and national levels.

From Sunshine Beach SLSC to Queensland and Australian representative teams, Craig has helped hundreds of athletes progress and supported countless volunteers and emerging leaders. His contribution includes serving as Assistant Manager of the Australian Youth Team at the 2024 Lifesaving World Championships.

Respected for his calm leadership, humour and humility, Craig’s legacy is reflected in the people he has supported and the opportunities he has helped create.

Thank you, Craig, for more than two decades of dedication to surf lifesaving. A thoroughly deserved honour!

❤️💛 Please join us in welcoming Steve Barclay as the newly elected President of Surf Life Saving Queensland!

Steve brings more than 40 years of involvement in surf lifesaving and a strong commitment to the volunteers who keep our communities safe.

Steve has served on the SLSQ Board since 2023 and brings extensive leadership and governance experience from his career in policing, law and public service. His contribution includes recognising outstanding lifesaving service through his role as Chair of the Meritorious Awards Selection Committee.

As President, Steve is committed to supporting our members, strengthening relationships across the movement and ensuring our clubs and volunteers are supported into the future.

Congratulations, Steve! We look forward to working together to continue saving lives and building safer communities across Queensland.
