First Friends Playgroup is located in Swan View, in the same building as the Child Health Clinic. We have a dedicated premises, this means no setting up and packing away equipment! On offer is a huge range of indoor and outdoor toys and activities to suit all ages and a fully stocked craft room. T
here is a large, fenced, outdoor playground with a dedicated 'Baby Zone' and sandpit with plenty of shade. The large heated/air conditioned indoor play area includes armchairs in our main room plus a full kitchen. Tea and coffee provided for adults. Being part of playgroup is a wonderful way to connect with other families in your community. As we are a parent-run playgroup, once you're member there are many ways to participate in the running of our organisation such as: joining the committee; attending our regular busy bees; participating in fundraising activities; and promoting our playgroup at community events. SESSIONS:
The age range of the children vary from session to session as playgroup is open to families with children 0-5 years. As First Friends have dedicated premises we can facilitate 10 sessions per week. Generally, morning sessions are held from 09:30 to 11:30am and afternoon sessions are held from 2:00 to 4:00pm. The session leader can provide further information as the start/finish times are flexible to suit each session. We're open all year round (including holidays). During timeslots that aren't currently active, we offer an ideal option for groups to start your own session. Prior to starting a new active session we recommend attending a trial visit at an established session. If our facilities offer your group what you're looking for in a regular meeting place then we can assist you in getting everything up and running. MEMBERSHIP FEES:
Standard Annual Membership: $35 per family (Membership and Insurance with Playgroup WA)
Concession Annual Membership: $15 per family (Membership and Insurance with Playgroup WA) – Health Care Card must be sighted by Session Leader. SESSION FEES:
Term Fees: $45 per family (includes the school holidays following the end of term)
Casual Visit: $7 per family
We'd love for new families to join us and become part of our playgroup community. We offer a one week free trial for all potential new members to visit our playgroup and participate in an established session before joining as a member.
