Leadership doesnโ€™t only happen on the basketball court.

Our Emerging Leaders came together last night for dinner, conversation and a walk through the Swan View Tunnel. These regular catch-ups are all about building connections, supporting one another and developing the next generation of leaders within Binar.

What makes this program special is that our current young leaders are helping guide and mentor those coming through behind them, creating a leadership journey that continues to grow with every new participant.

Strong leaders. Strong community. Strong future.

Back in the April school holidays, our Binar WABL teams headed down to Albany for a 4 night camp packed with basketball, team bonding and plenty of good memories. ๐Ÿ€

While in Albany, our teams competed in the Great Southern Basketball Tournament at the Albany Leisure and Aquatic Centre, trained together throughout the week and took part in team building activities and a movie night.

We also ran free basketball clinics on the Sunday morning and delivered our Binar Health Embassy alongside the tournament.

Most importantly, it was a great opportunity for our players to spend time together off the court, build stronger connections and enjoy the experience as a group.

Big few days, lots of basketball and plenty of fun had by everyone involved. โค๏ธ

A great opportunity this Sunday for any of our Binar kids who either arenโ€™t playing WABL or have morning games to get down to Warwick Stadium afterwards and be part of what is sure to be an awesome day ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ

Cal Calvin Bruton โ€” the Perth Wildcatsโ€™ first championship coach and first Hall of Famer โ€” is returning to where it all started to run a FREE clinic for boys and girls aged 8-17.

From personally taking many Binar kids to Calโ€™s clinics over the years, I can say they are always high energy, fun and full of valuable teaching around the fundamentals of basketball. More importantly though, Cal has always been passionate about teaching young people about leadership, discipline and how to carry themselves off the court as well.

Cal also gave a huge amount of his time to support and inspire our young people in the early days of Binar and weโ€™ll always appreciate that support โค๏ธ

The clinic runs from 9am-12pm and is followed by a 3 on 3 tournament with prizes up for grabs, including cash prizes, basketballs and free shirts for everyone who registers.

If you get the chance, we highly recommend getting down there to learn from one of the true legends of Australian basketball ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿฝ

Binar was proud to head down to Narrogin as part of the Within Your Wallet Festival 2026! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ

Students from East Narrogin, Brookton, Narrogin, Boddington and Lake Grace Senior High Schools came together for a deadly day full of connection, fun and activity. As one of nine activity stations, the Binar team ran basketball activations with each group, gave away some prizes and brought plenty of energy throughout the day ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ”ฅ

The event was a huge success and highlighted just how important it is to continue delivering programs and opportunities across our regional communities.

To top it all off, the day finished with a colour run ๐ŸŒˆ

A huge thank you to Holyoake for leading and delivering such an amazing event, and to YACWA, the Shire of Narrogin, WA Country Health Service and the Department of CITS for helping make the day possible. Weโ€™re grateful to have been part of it!

What an unbelievable win by our Binar Maali 16 Girls Team 1 today.
In a very tough WABL division, our girls have had a challenging start to the season, with injuries heavily impacting the squad. After a 50-point loss to a strong Cockburn Cougars side last week, not many would have expected what was about to happen today against the undefeated ladder leaders, the Rockingham Flames.
But from the opening tip, the girls showed incredible heart, grit, and determination, holding a narrow lead throughout the first half. The big question was whether they could sustain that intensity long enough against such a strong opponent.
With just 3 minutes remaining, we found ourselves down by 7 and fighting against the momentum. But once again, the girls dug deep and refused to give in.
In an absolute nail-biting finish, our girls prevailed by a single point in what has to be one of the biggest upsets of the season โ€” a true David vs Goliath clash.
So proud of this group and the resilience they continue to show.
And a massive congratulations to Coach T on his first ever WABL win in his debut season as a WABL coach. A moment none of us will forget.

The XXCEL GIRLS League officially tipped off last Thursday and what a way to start ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ€

The energy in the building was unreal from the very first game. Great basketball, great vibes and a powerful atmosphere created by all of the players, coaches, families and supporters who showed up for our girls.

Seeing all six clubs hit the floor in their new uniforms made the night even more special ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Moorditj. Kulbardiโ€™s. Bindari. Snipers. Mamba. Bloodline.

Thursday nights are becoming something special. A space dedicated to empowering girls through basketball, building confidence, creating opportunities and continuing to raise the standard in the female game.

This is only the beginning for the XXCEL League and we canโ€™t wait to watch it continue to grow.

Thank you to everyone who helped make Season Start Night such a success โœจ

Today, we celebrate all Ngaangk. ๐ŸคŽ

To all mothers, grandmothers, aunties, sisters, carers and the strong women who step into mothering roles every day, thank you.

Thank you for the love you give, the sacrifices you make, and the countless ways you show up for your children and communities. From early mornings and late nights, to training sessions, long drives, game days and sitting courtside cheering louder than anyone else, your presence never goes unnoticed.

Today, we also hold space for those who may be finding Motherโ€™s Day difficult. For those missing their mum, grandmother, child or someone special, we are thinking of you today.

At Binar, we are surrounded by incredible women who lead with strength, care and kindness every single day. We are grateful for everything you do, not just today, but always.

Happy Motherโ€™s Day to all our Ngaangk. ๐ŸคŽ

Today was a special day at Binar having newly drafted Sienna Gerardi and AFLW Rising Star winner Zippy Fish drop into the office for a catch up. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ‰

Both girls have been integral parts of the Binar program over many years and to now see them thriving at the highest level is something we are incredibly proud of.

Siennaโ€™s journey to the West Coast Eagles is a credit to her making some big changes and committing to chasing her dreams, while Zippy continues to inspire with the way she represents herself both on and off the field with the Sydney Swans .

Seeing both of these young women succeed reminds us exactly why Binar exists โ€” creating pathways, opportunities and belief for the next generation.

We couldnโ€™t be more proud and excited to watch what comes next for both of them. The future is bright. โœจ
