You have an idea, now what?

Starting a business can feel like you suddenly need a name, logo, website, product, business plan, instagram account and everything else… yesterday.

You don’t. Your first month should be about learning whether the idea in your head makes sense in the real world.

Talk to people. Test things. Build something small. Get it wrong. Change it. Try again.

That’s a big part of what happens inside Launchpad too, turning an ideas into something you can actually out in front of people, surrounded by others figuring it out alongside you.

Global Citizen x Bloom are bringing together young people from different disciples and perspectives for a 3 day Design Challenge exploring one big question:

How do we power tomorrow’s energy system? ⚡️

You’ll be placed into a multidisciplinary team, work alongside expert mentors and spend the weekend turning different perspectives into ideas for the future of clean energy and resilient communities.

Your idea could take you:
🎤 3-5 finalist teams will take their ideas to the Global Citizen NOW: Perth stage
🌍 Every participant receives a ticket to Global Citizen NOW: Perth Applications

The Design Challenge will run from 16-18 October at Bloom, Crawley.

Imagine every student learning to experiment, iterate, and innovate ...not someday, but now! Teaching entrepreneurship early doesn’t just spark ideas; it grows real ventures and real confidence.

The data is in: when we teach entrepreneurship like we teach science, young people don’t just dream, they build. It’s time to make entrepreneurial thinking a core part of every learner’s toolkit.

A study confirms the value of teaching entrepreneurship in secondary school, and argues that entrepreneurship should be taught widely, not reserved for future business majors.
