Uni is expensive. If you're struggling financially, there's support available — and most students don't know about it.

The UWA Student Guild offers grants for students experiencing financial hardship:
💰 Guild Grant — Up to $400 for unforeseen expenses related to your studies
📋 Unpaid Placement Grant — Up to $300 if a mandatory placement is impacting your ability to work
🚌 Smartrider Grant — $50 for public transport to get you to and from campus
🎓 Graduation Gown Assistance — Free graduation attire if you're experiencing hardship

You don't have to figure it out alone. These grants exist to help you stay at uni when things get tough.

Introducing Grace Peris, one of the founders we're backing in Venture UWA's first-ever VentureOn Accelerator.

Grace helps growing startups build the foundations their teams actually need. Hiring systems, onboarding, Notion workspaces, Chief of Staff support, leadership coaching for first-time managers, she works with founders at the stage where getting the basics right is everything.

Through VentureOn, she'll be supported with equity-free funding, expert mentoring, and access to WA's investor network.

We're hiring: Program Delivery Student Assistant at Venture UWA

If you're passionate about innovation and want hands-on experience in one of UWA's most active student organisations, this one's for you.

Venture UWA is looking for a Program Delivery Assistant to join us for 6 weeks, from the 15th July, 15 hours per week.

You'll be working across our core programs, including our Startup Incubator, Innovation Consultancy, and Internship Program, supporting the team to deliver events and workshops, and helping us find new ways to improve what we do.

What we're looking for:
- Genuine interest in innovation and entrepreneurship
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working both independently and in a team
- Good with computers, social media, and information management
- Strong time management

This is a paid, temporary position for students.
