Greg Sadler from Good Ancestors has reached out to me personally about an online town hall event on AI safety happening on 9 April, 4:30-5:30PM AWST. He's emphasised how important attendance is—it’s their best chance to influence politicians and media during the election. I’ll be there, and it’d mean a lot if you could join too.

Effective Altruism UWA is running an 8-week Introduction to Effective Altruism fellowship, modelled after similar programs from Oxford and Harvard. Over 8 weeks, you will learn about the exciting philosophy of effective altruism, how it applies to global problems and planning your career.

We have extended the application deadline, although earlier applicants will have more time to prepare for the first session. Learn more and apply here before the 15th of March.

Although we are a new club, we have big plans for this year.

Are you looking for something important to do over the summer vacation? This is the perfect opportunity to do the effective altruism introduction program!

There are only 3 days left to apply for the next round (running early December to late January). The program is perfect for ambitious beginners.

Through this online course, you'll learn the core ideas of effective altruism with a small group of like-minded people. Guided by a facilitator, you'll gain access to curated materials and practical exercises to help you have a greater impact in your career, donations and other projects.
