jade//vision

jade//vision live unites WA’s most formidable instrumentalists, singers and MCs on the one stage, developing community and connection through live events, music curation and recordings centred around improvisational performance.

What started as a three-part residency of live improvised sessions at Patio Bar in Walyalup/Fremantle, presented by Boorloo-based collective jade//vision, evolved into a fully-fledged project of its own, with the sessions fast becoming Perth’s most talked about live music night and the tour-de-force group featuring on stages and in unsuspecting places around town including The Rechabite, PICA, Planet Books for WA Music Week and Mojos, plus a sold-out Naarm tour in 2025 and supporting Alexander Flood during his Australian tour earlier this year. Anchored in alt-jazz and hip hop, their sound draws on a range of styles and influences from funk, soul and afrobeat, to house, dub and rhythmic exploration that’s completely improvised, uniquely evolving with the audience in each space.

jade//vision live features Marley Donnan-Cook, Josh Chan (Demon Days), POW! Negro! (People Taking Pictures), Cruz Patterson, Mali Jo$e, Sasha Britto (Butter), Isla Imogen and Sam Banks-Smith, plus many more local and interstate musicians as special guests.

jade//vision also platforms and champions alt-jazz artists from around Australia and the globe for Boorloo audiences. They have penned shows for experimental outfit I Hold the Lion’s Paw (Naarm), London-via-Naarm flautist, composer and improviser Erica Tucceri and celebrated British broadcaster and DJ Tina Edwards for her debut Australian tour. Additionally, they curate bespoke local line-ups for one-off shows and special events, as well as program jade//vision DJ nights that place contemporary jazz & alt-jazz offshoots as the centrepiece.

Dancing in space & Niche Productions are proud to present the Australian debut of French-Belgian producer Tour-Maubourg, bringing his acclaimed blend of soulful house, acid jazz and trip-hop to Australia for the very first time this October.

Over the past few years, Tour-Maubourg has established himself as one of Europe’s most exciting electronic artists, captivating audiences with his warm, groove-driven productions and emotionally rich live sets.

With more than 40 million streams across platforms, he has built a devoted global following through releases including Paradis Artificiels, Spaces of Silence, and most recently his 2026 EP featuring collaborations with Nic Hanson, Kareem Ali and Cyan Lu. His music effortlessly blends soulful house rhythms with jazz influences, organic instrumentation and deep, atmospheric textures. Having performed at some of Europe’s most renowned clubs and festivals, Tour-Maubourg has become known for creating immersive dancefloor experiences that are equally uplifting and introspective.

This October, Australian audiences will finally experience Tour-Maubourg as he makes his long-awaited debut across three headline shows.

THE PHARCYDE (USA)

Born in South Central Los Angeles, The Pharcyde stand alongside A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, and Gang Starr as one of the defining groups of hip-hop’s Golden Era.

Originally formed in 1989, The Pharcyde released their debut album, Bizarre Ride II The Pharcyde, in 1992. The record delivered a string of tracks that have since become ’90s hip-hop classics, including “Passin’ Me By,” “Ya Mama,” “Soul Flower,” “Otha Fish” and more.

Their follow-up, Labcabincalifornia, arrived in 1996, featuring production from Jay Dee (J Dilla), Diamond D and M-Walk. The album spawned two iconic singles, “Runnin’” and “Drop,” with the latter accompanied by its now-legendary video directed by Spike Jonze.

With their off-kilter production, sharp lyricism and unmistakable South Central sensibility, The Pharcyde have cemented their place among the godfathers of alternative hip-hop.

This November, they bring the sound of one of hip-hop’s most influential eras to Walyalup (Fremantle).

It’s that time of year when we ask you to show some generosity and subscribe to keep the airwaves full of great music, local voices and community-driven conversations.

Heading to one of my favourite places on Earth this weekend , the ridiculously beautiful Wooditjup / Margaret River for a couple of seriously fun shows.

Saturday night I’ll be playing a special Dancing in Space takeover at DISCO JUICE Vol. 3 for Cabin Fever at CBCo Brewing Margaret River , alongside LS Disco and everyone’s favourite DJ (and human), the mighty riley . We’ll be serving up soulful disco, boogie and plenty of dancefloor goodness all night long. Tickets are completely sold out, so this one’s shaping up to be one for the books.

Sunday night I’m joining my South West soul brothers Ru Teweehi and Simon Melon for MAMA JUJU at Yonder Bar. I played this party once before and couldn’t believe how much fun it was. Incredible sound, lighting and atmosphere, the friendliest crowd, and the records... lord have mercy. These guys have some serious heat. I’ll be bringing a fresh bag of recent Naarm finds and a few secret weapons of my own. Expect big, fat, filthy ‘80s boogie funk, raw Afro grooves and tropical disco all night.

This is a very limited-capacity event and it fills up fast, so don’t snooze. Lock in your spot on the dancefloor ASAP... or prepare to face the dreaded... line.
