MUA Youth Snap Action at SeaLink!

On Wednesday, MUA youth members engaged in a snap action to support our fellow MUA members at SeaLink who are currently negotiating their new EBA.

After months of negotiation with this employer, progress continues to move at a snail's pace, If at all!

SeaLink runs the Transperth ferries and a ferry service to Rottenest.
So, the youth decided to go out and spread the word to some of the passengers using these ferries. Youth members visited Elisabeth Quay in the morning to hand out leaflets and spread the word to Transperth passengers arriving in the city for work.

We then made our way to the SeaLink Rottenest ferry leaving Elisabeth Quay that morning. Making sure people enjoying a day off work and travelling to see Rotto are aware the MUA members working hard on the ferries to safely take them are being shafted by this company.

Response was positive with many passengers reading the flyers and showing support. The only people being negative was SeaLink management cracking the sh*ts about us exposing them. Too bad!

MUA Youth WA stands in solidarity with our fellow SeaLink members in their fight to get a proper EBA outcome!

Don't forget to RSVP if you can.

It's that time again when we celebrate another great year for young unionists at our MUA WA Youth Christmas Event coming up on Friday, 12th December 2025!

We’ve planned a fun evening in Fremantle to celebrate the year together, and we’d love for you to join us.

Drinks at Clancy’s Fish Pub
Time: 5:00pm
Location: Clancy’s Fish Pub, Fremantle - 51 Cantonment St, Fremantle Western Australia 6160
Members can spend a couple of hours having a couple of drinks, catch up with youth members and maybe see some new faces

Strike Bowling Fremantle
Time: 7:20pm
Location: Strike Bowling- FOMO Fremantle
From there we shall take it to lane with a couple of games of bowling along with free food and drinks.
Includes:
- 2 games of bowling
- Mixed pizzas & fries to share

After that we shall see where the night takes us as usually the Xmas events end up with the youth crew heading into Fremantle to enjoy the rest of the night.

We would love to see you there, whether you are a regular attendee or new member looking to see what it's all about, it’s a great night out with in a relaxed setting.

RSVPs are highly encouraged to ensure everything runs smoothly.

What a night!
Huge thanks to everyone who attended, donated and helped make our fundraiser event that happened on the 25th of July a massive success.

Together we raised over $10000 for and their partner organisation , who’s crucial work is helping to alleviate the ever-present threat of famine in Gaza, caused by the Israeli blockade of necessary humanitarian aid from entering the Strip.

A big thanks to all the bands/artists who got involved and generously donated their time and talents towards a great cause, and thank you to everyone who threw their support behind us by sponsoring the event.

The show of solidarity from the local community and the broader trade union movement was overwhelming and we will continue to do our part in the global campaign for peace and justice in Palestine 🇵🇸

We would like to also thank for hosting the event.
