Thank you to everyone for making our 9th anniversary and 400th event special.

No better day than today to reflect and ponder on just how far we have come. Here goes our story told in numbers :

Mernda parkrun started on 17th June 2017. Since then 5,096 participants have completed 34,286 parkruns covering a total distance of 171,430 km, including 5,386 new Personal Bests. A total of 536 individuals have volunteered 4,624 times.

This past weekend, parkrun hosted 541 events in Australia — contributing to parkrun's one millionth event globally!

Coming closer to home, we'll continue the celebrations this weekend at Event 400 which also happens to be Mernda parkruns 9th anniversary.
Everyone is welcome to participate in this weekends 'party' : talk, walk, jog, run, cheer, volunteer, postrun coffee.

We understand its going to be a long wait until Saturday .....so lets reflect on the past 9 years with gratitude. Just a handful of milestones. We could never capture all the treasured moments we have shared in this parkrun community even if we tried

Mernda parkrun is on today. We have a gorgeous sunrise this morning and rain is expected later today so come and make the most of the day!
