Congratulations to Sid Myer AO on this well deserved recognition!

The Myer Foundation was a founding partner of Asialink when it was established in 1989. Sid’s vision and leadership has shaped Asialink and our impact in the years since, in his roles as Chair of Asialink, inaugural Chair of Asialink Business and Patron.

Sid’s commitment to Australia’s engagement with Asia has opened doors and created opportunities for Australian artists and business leaders across the region for decades.

We look forward to continuing to work alongside Sid on our mission to create a better future with Asia!

oin us for a special conversation with John Young AM, artist and leading voice in contemporary art and dialogue across cultures at ARC ONE Gallery during John's latest exhibition 'A Changing Sky'.

John's engagement with Asia began in the 1990s, participating in cultural exchange initiated by Australian cultural institutions, including Asialink, across Southeast and Northeast Asia before such work was widely recognised as a tool of cultural diplomacy.

Rachel and John will explore the role of artistic practice in opening new ways of seeing Asian-Australian visual cultural development, and the long‑term work of building spaces for inter-cultural dialogue, reflection and exchange.

Ever wondered what diplomacy and leadership look like when stakes are high in moments of crisis? Then this is a conversation you won't want to miss!

Join us for a special evening featuring Asialink CEO Rachel Thompson in conversation with Martine Letts - influential leader, experienced CEO and former Australian Diplomat.

Martine and Rachel will explore diplomacy and leadership when they matter most, from moments of crisis and high‑stakes negotiation to the long‑term work of building trust and strong relationships.

Drawing on decades of leadership experience, Martine will share her reflections on pivotal moments in her career, and Australia's history, including leading the Australian Red Cross through the Tampa crisis and the Bali bombings, and more.
