Update on Little Learners and Play and Grow Playgroups at Jindi Term 4

From 2026, Brotherhood of St. Laurence (BSL) will be enhancing our work at Jindi by adopting an Early Years Integrated Approach.

This means we’ll be working more closely with families, caregivers, and community services to ensure every child is connected and supported to thrive.

As we transition to this new way of working, Little Learners and Open Playgroups will move to a fortnightly schedule.

This change allows our staff capacity to begin transition and build on integrated supports across the community.

We also want to support parents and caregivers who are interested in stepping into playgroup facilitation.

If this is something you’d like to explore, we’d love to hear from you.

We’ll be in touch soon to share more about what’s next and how you can be involved in shaping this new approach together.

How it works

To be eligible for Saver Plus, you must have all of the following:
Have a Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card AND an eligible Centrelink payment*

Be in school yourself OR have a child in school (can be starting school next year)

Have regular income from work (either yourself or your partner)*
Be 18+ years old

* Many types of income and Centrelink payments are eligible, see the Saver Plus terms and conditions for more information

If eligible for the program, set a savings goal with your Coordinator for your education related item(s). Eligible savings goals listed here.

Step 2
Saving
Open an ANZ Progress Saver account and start to regularly save over 10 months

Step 3
Education
Complete our fun, relaxed, MoneyMinded financial education workshops. There’s no pressure – just practical, realistic money talk that supports you and your savings goal.

Step 4
Matching
Reach savings goals and have your savings matched up to $500 by ANZ for education items for you or your children's education expenses
