NEW: Chainsaw sharpening! Please book under Power Tools. Blunt chainsaws are a hazard! Our new repairer Alby can help you with that!
Note: minimum three items of clothing per booking. If you need a zip replaced please attempt to unstitch it. It will save our repairers a lot of time. Thank you!
Note: if you know your item needs spare parts, please bring them with you such as bike parts, or zips for clothes, plugs for electrical items.

This month, the team have worked out the part that needs replacing on the board. The owner will come back next month with the part and the team will fit it back in to see if works!

We are looking for a volunteer who can help capture stories from people who come to Mernda Repair Cafe.
Mernda Repair Cafe records the weekly weight of all items that are repaired but the weight of an item doesn't reflect it's personal or practical value.
We'd love to try tell the stories behind the things that are brought to the Cafe.

Another absolute legend! Gill has an incredible track record fixing electrical items. And why has he volunteered each month for the last three years? Because he enjoys seeing the smiles on people's faces when they walk away with a repaired belonging!

Amazing to see this treadmill come into the Mernda Repair Cafe today. One of the electronic boards was faulty. Our volunteers with electronic training is going to take a look at the board so we're standing by to see if this machine can run again!
