Recent feedback like this from one of our community partners is why we pivoted our EOFY tax appeal to fueling the frontline.

Like everyone across Australia, frontline services are navigating the uncertainty of the ongoing fuel crisis and the cost-of-living crisis. Both of which directly impact their ability to get out on the road and into communities that desperately need their help.

These are communities that often cannot afford to travel themselves and seek out support.

As the Victorian government’s free public transport scheme ends, it's a reminder to all of us that some of us are at a tipping point, and one more expense, no matter how small, can leave people facing impossible choices.

That's why our end-of-financial-year appeal is supporting local organisations across Australia to keep people connected to the support they need.

When budgets are stretched, something has to give.

For Maggi, that could mean losing access to the support helping her survive.

After being priced out of her rental, she’s now living in her car and relying on fuel cards, food parcels, mobile showers and outreach services to get by. But as costs rise, the frontline organisations supporting people like Maggi are under growing pressure too.

These services are adapting; however, they can. Stretching budgets. Scaling support. Finding ways to keep showing up for their communities.
