ASHA Global Foundation is a volunteer-based, non-profit organization created for global harmony and progress to help others. We specialise in diversity and well being that empowers individuals and communities to meet the chal

lenges associated with social, cultural and economic inequality. Seeing a need for nonprofit work in this area, we formed our organization to provide well meaning and competence solutions. Our mission is to create a social Eco system which shall initiate, nurture and sustain intercultural competence, both at organizational and individual level. We stand out in our futuristic approach to deliver our mission through both theoretical and digital tools. We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which we live, learn and work throughout Australia and recognize their continuing efforts to conserve and celebrate the richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.

🌿 Lung Cancer Screening Awareness — Club 60 Wyndham Vale
A meaningful face-to-face awareness session was conducted by the ASHA Global Foundation team for the wonderful members of Club 60 Wyndham Vale at Manor Lakes Community Centre.
The session focused on raising awareness about lung cancer screening, early detection, risk factors, and the importance of taking proactive steps towards better health.

A big thank you to Club 60 Wyndham Vale for the warm participation and engagement. Together, we can spread awareness, encourage early screening, and help build a healthier community. 💚

Lung cancer screening

Who is it for?

Eligible Australians can participate in lung screening for free.

You may be eligible for lung screening if you:

-Are aged 50 to 70 years, and
smoke to***co ci******es or have a history of cigarette smoking*, and
(*having quit within 10 years)

-have no signs or symptoms that suggest lung cancer, and
(for example, unexplained persistent cough, coughing up blood, shortness of breath for no reason)

-have a history of to***co cigarette smoking of at least 30 pack-years.
(for example, a pack a day for 30 years, or 2 packs a day for 15 years)

Your doctor or healthcare provider can help you work out whether you’re eligible for lung screening based on your age and smoking history. Your healthcare provider can help you estimate your pack-year smoking history and will determine if lung screening is right for you.

जाँच क्यों करवाएँ?

ऑस्ट्रेलिया में फेफड़ों का कैंसर कैंसर से होने वाली मृत्यु का प्रमुख कारण है। लेकिन अगर इसका पता शुरुआती चरण में चल जाए, तो 65% से अधिक फेफड़ों के कैंसर का सफलतापूर्वक इलाज किया जा सकता है।

अगर आपकी उम्र 50 से 70 वर्ष के बीच है और आप वर्तमान में तंबाकू वाली सिगरेट पीते हैं या आपने पिछले 10 वर्षों में धूम्रपान छोड़ दिया है, तो आप इस कार्यक्रम के लिए पात्र हो सकते हैं।
अगर आप इस कार्यक्रम के लिए पात्र नहीं हैं और आपको अपने फेफड़ों के स्वास्थ्य को लेकर चिंता है, तो जल्द से जल्द डॉक्टर या स्वास्थ्य सेवा प्रदाता से बात करें।

Why screen?

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related death in Australia. But when found early, over 65% of lung cancers can be successfully treated.

If you’re aged 50 to 70 and currently smoke to***co ci******es or have quit in the last 10 years, you may be eligible.

If you are not eligible for the program and are concerned about your lung health, speak to a doctor or healthcare provider as soon as possible.
