Today, 7th September, marks World Duchenne Awareness Day. Support all the sons and rare daughters who live with this life limiting incurable disease. Please display our red balloon today to show your support!

On this day, we raise awareness for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) around the globe. As every year, we have a special theme that deserves more attention. This year it will be ‘Adult Life & Duchenne’.

WHY SEPTEMBER 7 ?
The DMD gene, encoding for the dystrophin protein, is the longest human gene known. It consists of 79 exons. This is why 7/9 is the date for World
Duchenne Awareness Day.

Please support the Duchenne community by sharing information about this horrible disease and displaying the red balloon symbol.

Our Superhero Boys also encourages you to wear yellow (our charity colour) or red to show your support too. Spreading awareness is so important 💛💛

This year, WDAD coincides with Father’s Day! Our boys are so very fortunate to have the most wonderful and supportive Dad who we would he completely lost without!!
