Good afternoon,

We are pleased to share that Victoria's Road Safety Partners have now released the Motorcycle Safety Action Plan (the Plan). The Plan outlines how we will work together to improve safety for motorcycle riders across Victoria.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the development of the Plan. Contributions from stakeholders across government, local councils, rider groups, training providers, motorcycle manufacturers and retailers helped inform the Plan's priorities and actions.

Key actions include:

Delivering a $40 million Motorcycle Safety Infrastructure Program to rollout motorcycle friendly safety treatments at high-risk sites across the state.
Exploring options for a new urban corridor safety trial to reduce road-related hazards for riders in urban environments.
Supporting novice riders by evaluating the Motorcycle Graduated Licensing Scheme.
Updating the existing Learner Approved Motorcycle Scheme policy to restrict novice motorcyclists from riding high-powered electric motorcycles, and
Encouraging more people to wear personal protective gear.

The Plan forms part of the ongoing commitment to saving lives under Victoria’s 10-year Road Safety Strategy 2021-2030.

𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗛 𝗖𝗮𝗿 & 𝗕𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀
As many of you know, both Perry and David are now retired and spending much more time travelling. While we'll continue to support our members, our travels mean we need to make some changes to ensure we can provide the best service to our members.

𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗹𝘀
We're transitioning to electronic renewals and new member applications, with the aim of phasing out in person paper-based applications for new vehicles during 2027. By going electronic we will be able to turn around your renewal or application within a much shorter time compared to waiting for an in person meeting.

A mail service will still be available for those who need it, however processing times may vary depending on where we are travelling at the time.

𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗨𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲
Members will often receive their renewal paperwork from VicRoads 4-6 weeks before expiry. After the expiry date members still have 90 days to complete their renewal but you are not permitted to use the vehicle during that time.

We strongly encourage members to renew as early as possible. Waiting until the last few days may result in delays, particularly if we're travelling or mail services are slower than usual. Proof of payment at renewal time will also speed up the process.

Our café signing sessions will continue, but they will be dependent on our travel commitments. This means that we may not be able to hold them every month. We'll continue to advise members of upcoming dates whenever possible.

All Ford Day 2026 will be held on March 29, 2026, at Eastern Park, Geelong, featuring over 1,500 Ford vehicles on display.
Event Overview
All Ford Day is Australia’s largest single-make car display, celebrating the history and culture of Ford vehicles. The 35th annual event will take place at Eastern Park, Geelong, showcasing a wide range of vehicles from vintage pre-war models to modern performance cars, muscle cars, hot rods, and trucks. The event highlights the long-standing connection between Ford and Geelong, dating back to the establishment of Ford Australia in 1925.

In these troubling times, the last thing our country communities should have to worry about is where the next meal is coming from — for themselves or their stock.
