Ronald McDonald House ACT & South East NSW We are a children's charity supporting families with seriously ill or injured children in hospitals

We are an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing vital programs for families with seriously ill children. RMHC ACT & South East NSW was established in 2012 as part of the Centenary Hospital for Women and Children in Canberra, where our House is located. Ronald McDonald House Canberra, our Canberra Family Room and our Bateman’s Bay Family Retreat provide families throughout

the ACT and South East NSW region with warm and welcoming places to stay, get support or relax and recharge, while going through the difficult journey of childhood illness. Through our accommodation and support services, we strive to keep families together when life gets turned upside down due to a child’s illness. Our RMHC ACT & SE NSW Chapter relies on support from our local community to keep our doors open and to continue to support families with sick or injured children. You can help us continue to support families when they need it most by making a tax-deductible financial donation to our registered charity, making an in-kind donation for the families we serve, participating in one of our fundraising events, organising a fundraising drive, "adopting" a night, cooking a meal for our families ( ), sponsoring a room, entering into a corporate/charity partnership, or more. A heartfelt thank you to Pacific Facilities Maintenance Pty Ltd for their ongoing support of families in our programs.

This morning, our CEO had the privilege of joining the Pacific FM team for a morning tea, sharing how together we help families stay close to their seriously ill or injured child when it matters most.

We are incredibly grateful for the generous $500 donation presented by the team, as well as their continued support through our Christmas Drive, Wish Lists and facilities management services that help keep our programs running smoothly for families.

Family stays.

For families facing some of the hardest moments of their lives, staying close to their child can mean sleeping in chairs, missing work, putting life on hold, and travelling far from home for specialist care.

At Ronald McDonald House ACT & South East NSW, we help families stay together, close to the care their child needs most.

This tax time, your support helps provide more than accommodation. It helps provide comfort, connection, warm meals, support and moments of normality when families need it most.

A warm welcome after a long day at the hospital. A stocked pantry for families who haven’t had a moment to think about themselves. A conversation over a cup of tea that reminds someone they’re not alone.

Our volunteers are at the heart of these moments.

They give their time, care and compassion to help families feel supported, connected and at home during some of life’s hardest moments. From baking afternoon tea to folding laundry, preparing meals and simply showing up with kindness - every act matters.
