In March last year, against all odds, Graham celebrated his 70th birthday with family and friends. 🥂

To mark the occasion, he asked for a simple gesture:

"I kindly ask that you forgo gifts. Instead, I would be deeply grateful if you considered making a contribution to support cancer research here in Canberra. Thank you for your generosity and support."

Together, his community raised $6,778 to support local research.

Every Canberran can help power local research with Canberra Hospitals Foundation, gifting current and future patients the hope - and the possibility of precious time - that Graham received.

Josephine and Matt's story is one of many - new parents, excited to welcome their children into the world - until something completely out of the blue requires medical care beyond what they could have predicted. 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦

Across two pregnancies, Josephine faced severe complications that left her critically unwell and repeatedly reliant on Canberra Hospital’s maternity, neonatal, and Hospital in the Home services. 🤰

Read about their healthcare journey and ways you can support families like theirs through Mix106.3's Give Me Five this June:

Like most parents-to-be, Josephine and her husband Matt, were focused on nursery preparations, baby clothes and the excitement of welcoming their children into the world - never expecting how quickly life could change out of the blue.  Across two pregnancies, Josephine faced severe complications...

Last week, the Research Operations and Clinical Trials Support Unit at Canberra Health Services celebrated International Clinical Trials Day by fundraising for patients, their families and healthcare teams - all in support of research 🤩

A bake sale is always a good idea, and gets people chatting. It's one of the many creative and wonderful ways to fundraise for CHF.

Thanks to Sarah Marshall and the Research Operations and Clinical Trials Support Unit for their support. You raised an amazing $943 for your community! 🧡
