On Tuesday, AADANT’s Nardene Murphy had the opportunity to visit Amber NT at Harry’s Place and learn more about the incredible support they provide to Territorians experiencing the loss of a child.

Amber NT offers free, non-clinical support to families and communities affected by the loss of a child, from conception to 18 years of age.

Through listening, remembrance, education and advocacy, they provide a compassionate space for those navigating grief.

Thank you to the Amber NT team for the important work you do in supporting Territorians. ❤️

Fully funded UNSW Scientia PhD Scholarship opportunity at the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre (NDARC):

Characterising trends in drug use and related harms among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people

This PhD will use multiple data sources to investigate trends in substance use and related harms, working within Aboriginal governance arrangements and alongside Aboriginal researchers, community-controlled organisations, services, and people with lived and living experience.

The project includes an international placement in Canada focused on Indigenous health epidemiology, data governance and knowledge translation.

Recruitment closes 16 November. Applications are open to all domestic candidates, and applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates are particularly encouraged.
