City of Darwin Gardens for Wildlife - Bat Night
WHEN: Wednesday 27 May | 6:00 – 7:30pm
WHERE: Singh Park, East Point Reserve (https://maps.app.goo.gl/1wFGXN2eEYio52uC9) – Located just before P*e Wee’s Restaurant on Alex Fong Lim Drive, opposite the start of the Monsoon Forest Walk.
WHAT: Bat Night is back! 🌙
Join us at East Point Reserve to learn about Darwin’s native microbats and flying foxes with local experts from NTG’s Flora & Fauna Division, Charles Darwin University and Wildcare NT.
Enjoy a special live meet-and-greet with some native bats, enter the draw to win a microbat box, and take home a native plant 🌿 to help support bats and other native wildlife at home.
This is a free event as part of City of Darwin’s Gardens for Wildlife program. All are welcome. 💚
WHAT TO BRING:
Picnic rug or mat to sit on
Insect repellent 🦟
Torch or headtorch 🔦 (just in case for when it gets dark)
Please note that flash photography is not permitted as it can disturb the nocturnal bats.
