DID YOU KNOW? Unethical Migration companies might look like they can help you get your visa or PR faster- but here’s three reasons to be careful:

❌ Unethical Migration companies can use dodgy practices that cost you your Australian visa

❌ Unethical Migration companies make their money from filing your appeals once your application is rejected – meaning you pay more in money, stress and delays

❌Unethical Migration companies can give you false promises about Australia, making it harder for you find work, housing or a community once you arrive

At Spectrum Migrant Resource Centre, we don’t just have Migration expertise – we’ve been helping migrants settle successfully for 45 years.

Don’t risk your future, your savings or your visa.

Reach out to us. Or just follow us for more trusted advice for migrants and permanent residents.

This week, we're celebrating .

We recognise the sovereignty of Australia's First Peoples, who have cared for this land for 65,000 years - the world's oldest continuing culture!

We celebrate their achievements, their resilience through hardship, and we commit to the ongoing shared journey to Reconciliation.

We're proud to be 'All In' - understanding that the path forward can be one that nurtures relationships, enables justice, provides healing and mutual respect. And that it takes all of us, doing what we can.

❤️💛🖤 💙💚🤍

National Sorry Day - This National Sorry Day, Spectrum recognises the historical and ongoing grief, trauma and suffering caused to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the result of forcible removal of what is now known as the Stolen Generations, from their homes and families.

As an organisation, we take today to reflect on these events and their impacts, as well as our responsibilities toward healing, truth-telling and Reconciliation.

We stand in solidarity with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and pay tribute to their strength and resilience.

"IT WAS POWERFUL - AND HELPED THEM THINK A BIT DEEPER". This week, our Spectrum Youth Ambassadors took their new anti-racism program on the road.

Out in Melbourne's west, this amazing group of young people delivered a presentation at Cana Catholic School as part of our Project Merahi program.

Project Merahi aims to show the wisdom, insights and skills of young people from refugee backgrounds - as they take the lead in teaching their peers about anti-racism in an relaxed and engaging way. As one teacher told us, "It was really good. It helps them to think about unity".

We're so proud of our Youth Ambassadors, and for all of the schools, sporting clubs and local organisations that are taking part in Project Merahi. Helping make Melbourne a safer, more welcoming place for all. Find out more here, or take part: https://spectrumvic.org.au/news/project-merahi-youth-racism/
