As an Advisor of the Pakistani Students Association of Australia (PSAA), I am pleased to formally announce the PSAA Elections 2026, to be held on Sunday, 10 May 2026 in Melbourne, Victoria. These elections present an important opportunity for Pakistani migrants across Australia to actively participate in shaping the future direction of our community. Nominations are now open for the positions of President, Vice President, General Secretary, and Treasurer.

PSAA has always stood as a platform of unity, leadership, and service. We strongly encourage committed, responsible, and motivated members to step forward and contribute to the progress and representation of Pakistani students nationwide. All Pakistani nationals/students in Australia who are registered members of PSAA are eligible to nominate, contest, and vote in these elections.

In the interest of transparency and continuity, it is also important to inform members that the previous executive team has been formally dissolved. At the time of dissolution, the PSAA account held a balance of AUD $22,500, which will be officially transferred to the newly elected team following the completion of the election process.

Your participation is essential to ensure transparent, inclusive, and effective leadership for the coming term. Together, we can continue to strengthen our collective voice, support one another, and promote a positive image of our community throughout Australia.

My name is Shahzad Ahmad and my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer last year, and since then our lives have completely changed. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy, fighting with everything she has not just for herself, but for our children.

We are a family living in Australia on a temporary visa, which means we have no access to government support, no Medicare, and no stability. Every medical bill, every scan, every treatment we have paid out of our own pocket. After a year of treatment, our savings are completely gone.

My wife is a mother of four young children who desperately need her. I am unable to work properly because I must take care of her and the kids. We are doing our best, but the situation has become overwhelming. The stress of choosing between paying rent, buying groceries, or paying for her next treatment is breaking us.

We never imagined asking for help, but now we have no other choice.

We are reaching out to kind-hearted people for support so my wife can continue her cancer treatment without fear of financial ruin. Every dollar will go directly towards her medical bills, medications, transport for treatment, and caring for the kids during this difficult time.

If you cannot donate, please share this campaign. Your kindness means more than you know.

From the bottom of our hearts,
Thank you for helping us fight for her life.

Shahzad Ahmad
