Each time an aircraft is needed, there is an expert team of engineers who have ensured the aircraft can safely perform to the highest standard.

This is a collection of photos from the recent four-yearly major inspection undertaken by the Engineering Team at our Broadmeadow Deep Level Maintenance Facility. These inspections are the largest maintenance event on an AW139.

The process includes a complete strip down and rebuild, where all parts are inspected for cracks, corrosion and any repairs or replacements that need to be made. During the process the aircraft is painted as required.
Ground testing is a crucial component of this service, ensuring our aircraft are safe and complaint.

Through this process, our Engineers conduct leak checks, system checks, rotor track and balance to ensure correct function for all systems. Vibration can not only cause wear and tear on our aircraft but increase fatigue! Then, once our aircraft are released from maintenance, they’re sent back to their operational base.

This recent inspection took 12 weeks to complete at an estimated 3000+ man-hours.
