The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service congratulates Clare Beech on her appointment as the new Chief Executive of NSW Ambulance.

We look forward to working closely with Clare and our colleagues at NSW Ambulance to continue delivering critical aeromedical services to communities across Northern NSW.

It’s a pleasure to announce that Clare Beech has been permanently appointed as our next Chief Executive (CE).

Clare has been working as the NSW Ambulance Interim CE since March, demonstrating her commitment to an organisation that is clinically led, people focused and patient centred.

Clare is honoured to work with the incredible team at NSW Ambulance to ensure that we continue to positively impact the health of our communities now and into the future.

“It is a privilege to work alongside the exceptional people of NSW Ambulance as their Chief Executive, and an honour to lead a caring, dedicated and professional organisation,” Clare said.

Around 6pm Thursday 15 October, a Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance on an inter-hospital transfer from Armidale Hospital to John Hunter Hospital. A woman in her 20s, suffering a medical condition, was stabilised by hospital staff and the helicopter’s critical care medical team before being airlifted to Newcastle.

Around 2:30pm on Sunday 11 October the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance on an urgent inter-hospital transfer from Coonabarabran Hospital to Orange Hospital. A woman in her 60s, suffering a serious medical condition, was stabilised by hospital staff and the NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic and the NSW Health doctor from the helicopter’s critical care medical team before being airlifted to Orange.

Around 4:30pm on Saturday 10 October the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance on an urgent inter-hospital transfer from Walgett Hospital to Dubbo Hospital. A man in his 70s, suffering a serious medical condition, was stabilised by hospital staff and the NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic and the NSW Health doctor from the helicopter’s critical care medical team before being airlifted to Dubbo.

Around 3pm, on Saturday 10 October, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance on an urgent inter-hospital transfer from Tweed Valley Hospital to Gold Coast University Hospital. A woman in her 20s, suffering a serious medical condition, was stabilised by hospital staff and the NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic and the NSW Health doctor from the helicopter’s critical care medical team before being airlifted to Southport.

Around 1pm, on Saturday 10 October, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance on an urgent inter-hospital transfer from Port Macquarie Hospital to John Hunter Hospital. A woman in her 20s, suffering a serious medical condition, was stabilised by hospital staff and the NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic and the NSW Health doctor from the helicopter’s critical care medical team before being airlifted to Newcastle.

Around midday on Tuesday 06 October, a Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to a person suffering multiple injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Inverell.

A female in her 50's was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and transported by road to the Inverell Hospital Helipad to meet the helicopter’s critical care medical team before being airlifted to the John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition.

Around 11:30pm, on Monday 05 October, a Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance on an urgent inter-hospital transfer from the Moree Hospital to the Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital.

A male in his 20's, suffering a serious medical condition, was stabilised by hospital staff and the NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic and the NSW Health doctor from the helicopter’s critical care medical team before being airlifted to Tamworth.

Around 3:20pm on Monday 05 October, a Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to Morisset.

A man in his 20’s, who had suffered arm and facial burns when putting fuel on a bonfire, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and the helicopter’s critical care medical team before being airlifted to the Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious condition.
