Who Saved Who? is a stunning fine art portrait book project by Jo Lyons Photography and it's open for applications right now. Just 15 places are available for people whose lives have been profoundly changed by a dog.

If you are selected, your Who Saved Who? Experience begins with a $195 participation fee, which secures your place in the project, your studio portrait experience, and a double-page spread in the book featuring your story.

And here's the part that means so much to us: $100 from every session goes directly to us helping vulnerable people in our community keep their beloved pets safe, healthy, and at home.

Because we know the bond between a person and their dog isn't just beautiful. Sometimes, it's everything.

Jackson's dad needs to get to the hospital urgently, but won't go until his little man is safe.

This sweet senior man is 16 years young and needs a soft place to land while his dad gets the treatment he needs.

Jackson is dog-friendly but not with cats, and is okay around children as long as they are kind to him.

We're looking for a foster carer who can take Jackson urgently for just 1–2 weeks, someone who:

🐶 Allows Jackson to be part of your home and sleep inside at night.
🏡 Open to anyone with a secure home, townhouse, unit.
💛 Have the love and time to keep Jackson safe.

Pauly's story starts with courage, not just from him but from his whole family. ❤️

His mum fled a domestic violence situation while heavily pregnant, with her young son by her side.

When she went into labour and rushed herself to the hospital, Pauly waited patiently in the car because that's just who he is.

Our team rallied to get him safe and cared for with our boarding partner, and now we're looking for the next step in his journey, a loving foster home.

This gorgeous 6-year-old Staffy x is loyal, loving, and everything good about the breed. He takes his time to trust, but once he does, you've got a friend for life.

He'll happily go on adventures with you, then spend the rest of the day snuggled on the couch.

We're looking for a foster carer for just 2–3 months, someone who:

🐶 Loves Staffies or has experience with dogs
🏡 Has a secure yard & home where Pauly can be the one and only pup
💛 Has the patience and heart to let him warm up at his own pace

We love our staffy bully breeds, so for all applications lodged throughout June and July we're offering a special reduced contribution fee of just:

✅ Vaccination

📍 This special offer is only available to holders of a valid pension card and who are residents of the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie LGAs.

We're excited to share that we have been selected as a community partner of the SavourLife and Petstock Feed It Forward campaign!

MAY IMPACT UPDATE!

Because of this incredible community, the Prevention Project made a real difference for pets and families this month!

Here’s what was achieved together in May:

🐶 23 dogs desexed
🐱 24 cats desexed
💉 100 vaccinations delivered
📍 28 pets microchipped
🍽️ 3,752 pet meals provided

Every number represents a life cared for, a family supported, and a pet given a healthier, safer future. Prevention changes lives and it only happens because people like YOU choose to stand with us.

Like old Mother Hubbard, our cupboards are bare!

Over the last few months, there has been a significant increase in requests for food, and supplies are running low.

We are currently supplying 11 Food pantries with dog and cat food every month and need to refill the shelves so nobody goes home hungry!
