💜 Winston’s Itchy Little Journey! 🐾
Winston joined our care many months ago, and we quickly realised our laid-back, cruisy little man had a few things going on!
After trialling different foods and vet-guided prednisolone to help manage those initial outbreaks, we eventually moved him onto a hydrolysed diet for a LONG time. But Winston could go from fine to red, itchy, losing fur and downright miserable in just a day!
So, we booked in with the experts to get to the bottom of his allergies and identify his triggers.
Did you know dogs can have allergy testing and even a custom-made immunotherapy treatment to help desensitise them to their specific allergens? How cool is that?! 🤯 For those interested Winston were supported by Queensland Veterinary Specialists on the sunny coast.
Was it expensive? Yes! Was the food switching and many vet visits and what if this works trials also expensive? Also yes 😂 it made sense to get real answers and get to the bottom of it. He suffered terribly.

And the best part? ❤️ Despite the challenges, Winston’s wonderful family have supported him through this journey and are absolutely delighted to officially welcome him home FOREVER. 🏡🐾
