📢 WE’RE HIRING! Community Support Officer

Inclusive and Diverse Communities Incorporated (IDC) is looking for a motivated and organised Community Support Officer to join our team!

💼 About the role:

Administrative and accounts support, including Xero

Community support, information sessions and workshops

Assisting diverse communities to access essential services

Supporting events, communications and organisational activities

✨ What we’re looking for:

Strong administration and attention to detail

Accounts experience and Xero knowledge

A person-centred, trauma-informed approach to community support

Excellent communication and technology skills

A commitment to social justice, access and equity

📍 Location: Western and South Western Sydney
🏡 Work arrangement: Hybrid (WFH, Parramatta office and community venues)
🕒 Hours: 14–18 hours per week across 2–3 days
📅 Interviews: Tuesday, 3 November 2026
🚀 Start date: 10 or 17 November 2026

Neighbourhood and community centres play an essential role in supporting local communities, connecting people, reducing isolation and creating opportunities for people to thrive.

The campaign to recognise neighbourhood and community centres as essential social infrastructure is calling for secure, ongoing core funding across NSW.

🎯 The campaign has already reached 1,233 signatures, with a goal of 20,000 signatures ahead of the March 2027 NSW State Election.
