Israel has killed over 2,500 people in Lebanon in less than 2 months.⁣

Communities across southern Lebanon continue to face escalating violence, with over 7,804 injured since early March.

Ongoing airstrikes have hit multiple towns despite a declared truce, leaving families in urgent need of medical care, shelter, and protection.

AusRelief is supporting affected communities with lifesaving assistance but the needs are growing.

When you support orphaned children with Ausrelief, you’re not just helping one child, you’re strengthening an entire system of care 💙

We support youth centres like our Adıyaman Youth Centre in Türkiye – safe spaces where children receive education, psychosocial support and the stability they need to grow.

Real impact goes beyond one child.

Since the U.S.–Iran ceasefire took effect, Israel has reportedly used internationally banned white phosphorus in Lebanon.⁣

White phosphorus spreads rapidly, igniting fires on contact and causing severe burns, breathing damage and long-term health risks.

White phosphorus also contaminates and destroys soil, damaging farmland and ecosystems — turning it into an attack not only on people, but on the land itself.

This isn’t the first time. Its use by Israel has been repeatedly documented in recent years, including strikes on populated areas, raising serious concerns under international law.

Israel has set up a “Yellow Line” to mark an area it is occupying in southern Lebanon, mirroring a barrier previously used in Gaza.

The zone has been linked to ongoing military activity and restricted access for civilians.

A ceasefire meant to bring 10 days of relief was shattered within hours.

In Lebanon, families who had just begun to breathe again are once more facing fear, displacement, and uncertainty. For communities already pushed to the brink, even moments of peace are fragile.

Humanitarian needs are rising fast — access to food, medical care, and safe shelter remains critical.

We’re continuing to support affected communities on the ground, but the situation is rapidly evolving.

Civilians should never pay the price of broken promises.
