AusRelief is a relief, development and advocacy Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that is dedicated to alleviating poverty, sickness & under development using intelligent short & long term self sustainability solutions. With the help of our generous donors and supporters, we assist thousands of people every year. We not only aid the less fortunate but provide them with the tools and skills to aid themselves in the long term.

From hip-hop journalism to award-winning literature, Simone Amelia Jordan has spent her career making space for stories that deserve to be heard 🇱🇧💙

Joining us at A Night for Lebanon Sydney, Simone is a writer, essayist and author based on Gadigal Country, recognised as Australia’s most successful hip-hop journalist.

Her work spans identity and social justice, with a strong focus on amplifying underrepresented voices and mentoring emerging multicultural talent. Her debut memoir, Tell Her She’s Dreamin’, won the Richell Prize.

We look forward to hearing Simone’s insights and experiences as we come together for an evening of culture, community and connection.

Introducing Ali Al Haj, an activist, poet, journalist and public speaker whose work brings together storytelling, identity and social commentary.

Winner of the 2024 Bankstown Poetry Grand Slam, Ali has shared his work on stages including TEDx, the Sydney Opera House, [NSW] Parliament House and the Sydney Writers’ Festival. He is also a TMJ news anchor, with a background in communications and investigative journalism.

We’re excited to welcome Ali to A Night for Lebanon Sydney, bringing his voice and perspective to an evening of conversation and community.

Introducing Toys of Joy by AusRelief 🎁💙

Our new year-round initiative is all about creating moments of joy for children and young people experiencing hardship, crisis or significant change.

Throughout the year, we’ll be collecting and distributing brand-new toys, books, stationery, creative supplies, back-to-school items and age-appropriate gifts through trusted community organisations, hospitals and local services — with major giving activations around Christmas and Eid.

There are plenty of ways to get involved:
