New wheels, same mission

We are so grateful to partner with Bartons to help us keep showing up for our community 💙

This week, we welcomed a specially equipped outreach vehicle that will support our team to connect with people safely on the streets and carry essential resources where they are needed most.

Outreach vehicles naturally go through a lot over time, and without replacements they can become unsafe or unusable. This vehicle means we can keep showing up not only safely, but consistently and without interruption.

A big thank you to Bartons, and to Michelle and Michael for delivering the vehicle and taking the time to chat with our team and all the support in the lead up, we really appreciate it.

National Volunteer Week 2026!

National Volunteer week holds a special place in our hearts at Drug ARM. Whilst we are grateful and appreciative of our volunteers for the work they do every day, this week is about celebrating just how vital they are to our community and in building a healthier future.

This year's theme, Your Year to Volunteer is a moment to thank those who already give their time and to invite others to discover how volunteering can create connection, purpose and lasting positive change.

From our student counsellors, Street Outreach teams, op shop superstars, intake and marketing volunteers, to our Board members - we thank you for all the different ways you help make a difference. Thank you for being part of the Drug ARM community, this work would not be possible without you.

This Sunday, join us at the Mt Coot‑tha Botanic Gardens for Opera Botanica – Nature Through Music!

An enchanting daytime concert celebrating flowers, water, birds and landscapes through some of opera’s most beautiful works.

International tenor Jeandré le Roux and Opera Queensland soprano Anita Parakh‑Morgan, will join many other outstanding artists in this spectacular celebration of Opera.

Under the artistic guidance of producer Rhonda Davidson‑Irwin, audiences can look forward to an unforgettable afternoon of music in nature.

Bluey and Bingo will be there, along with live music, food trucks, and plenty of activities and entertainment for the whole family throughout the day.

Get ready for a fun, free family day out with something or everyone!

All funds raised on the day will support Drug ARM, alongside our long time friends at Foodbank Queensland, helping us continue to support some of Brisbane's most vulnerable communities 💜

Thank you to the Lord Mayor's Charitable Trust and Brisbane City Council for hosting this event. Grab the family, your friends, a picnic blanket and come and say hello- we would love to see you there for a day of food, fun and community connection!

Welcome to the team!

We’re excited to welcome Michael to Drug ARM in a new philanthropy and partnerships role. With a background in business development across media and not‑for‑profit organisations, Michael brings a passion for connecting people and organisations who share common values. Being able to see the real‑world impact of fundraising, especially within smaller organisations and local communities is what led Michael to the philanthropic space.

He shares that what resonates most is the breadth of Drug ARM’s work, from supporting people experiencing insecure housing to working with families, children, and individuals across Queensland.

In this role, Michael is looking forward to sharing Drug ARM’s story more widely and connecting with supporters who want to make a meaningful difference.

When engaging with Drug ARM, Michael hopes people feel the impact of their support from helping some of the most vulnerable people in our community and strengthening wellbeing across generations.

And outside of work? Michael is rediscovering the guitar, with four chords down, and many more to go 🎸
