Orana creates opportunities for people with disability to live and work within their local community, fulfill their dreams and become valued and productive community members. As an NDIS Registered Provider, we currently provide employment, housing, training, short term accommodation, skill development programs and life skills support to over 650 South Australians with disability.

🎃👻 Spooktacular fun at Community Options! 👻🎃

Our Community Options group got into the Halloween spirit with a fun-filled party! 🎉

Participants Corey, Richard, Christopher, Ian and Suzanne got creative making Halloween decorations and costumes, including spooky spiders and ghostly creations. 🕸️👻

With support from staff Ritu, Eason and Teresa, everyone enjoyed getting involved, sharing some laughs and embracing the Halloween fun together. 🧡

It’s wonderful to see our participants exploring their creativity, trying new activities and making great memories with friends!

We hope everyone has a fantastic Halloween!

🌿☀️ A Beautiful Spring Day at Bonython Park! ☀️🌿

This week, our Community Options participants Michael, Jane and new participant Dean enjoyed a lovely outing to Bonython Park!

With sunshine on their faces, lush green spaces all around and a gentle spring breeze, it was the perfect day to get outdoors, enjoy nature and spend time together.

There was even the exciting bonus of spotting some planes overhead! ✈️

Dean summed up the day perfectly, sharing: “I enjoy walking with the group.” 💚

It’s wonderful to see our participants enjoying new experiences, building connections and making the most of their time in the community.

Sometimes, the simplest outings create the happiest memories! 🌞

☕💚 COMMON GROUND CAFÉ IS OFFICIALLY OPEN! 💚☕

What a fantastic day celebrating the official opening of Orana’s Common Ground Café at Netley on Thursday!

Officially opened by former Adelaide Crows captain Mark Bickley, the launch marked an exciting milestone in creating opportunities for people with disability to develop hospitality skills, build confidence, gain practical experience and connect with the wider community.

With our motto “Where Everyone is Welcome” at its heart, Common Ground Café is about much more than coffee, it’s about inclusion, connection and creating opportunities for everyone to shine. ✨

The celebrations included a BBQ and cake, with employees, family and friends coming together to mark this special occasion. It was wonderful to see so many people sharing in the excitement and supporting this exciting new initiative! 🎂🍔

A huge thank you to Mark Bickley, our generous sponsors Adelaide Marble Specialists, Beerenberg, Bickford’s, Federal Hospitality Equipment, Thirsty Earth Landscaping and Vili’s Family Bakery, and all the staff and team members who worked so hard to bring this wonderful initiative to life.
