email [email protected] to get involved! South Australia is a land of spectacle. It's a place of wonders and an environment worth fighting for.

You can see a million birds fishing in the middle of a desert, when Lake Eyre floods. You can watch dozens of whales, swimming and breeding beneath limestone cliffs at the edge of the world's largest karst landscape filled with unexplored caves, as you stand on the edge between the Great Australian Bight and the Nullarbor. South Australia contains vast areas of wilderness and has some of the highest quality arid and marine wilderness anywhere. Sharing borders with all mainland states, SA is crucial to any vision of continent wide conservation. Some of our campaigns run across many of these categories.

🌿 There are so many beautiful events in this year's Nature Festival, but here's one we went to and loved!

Art for Takayna brings together photography, painting, film and more, created by artists during Bob Brown Foundation's annual residency deep in Takayna, Tasmania's vast temperate rainforest, home to globally significant Aboriginal cultural heritage and currently under threat from mining and logging.

The centrepiece is a brand-new immersive film of Takayna, premiering in Adelaide and wrapping around you across Immersive Light and Art's 110m² of LED screens, the next best thing to standing in the forest itself. There's also a stunning film of Adelaide musician Dave McEvoy improvising on grand piano as the forest wakes at dawn.

Proceeds go directly to Bob Brown Foundation's campaign to see Takayna World Heritage-listed.

🌿 "Hope for Wilderness" is now open at The Wheatsheaf Hotel!

Over the past two years, we've journeyed to some of the state's most incredible wilderness areas, capturing their beauty as part of our efforts to protect them. Now, we're bringing those images home to share with you.

Come see stunning photography from the Nullarbor, Great Australian Bight and Lake Eyre Basin.

Free to view during the hotel's regular opening hours, until 1 November.
