Grandcarers SA Grandcarers SA supports Grandcarers to improve the welfare of the children in their care. We work for carers and children!

Established in 2002 and formerly known as Grandparents For Grandchildren SA (GFGSA), we believe that all children and young people have the right to a safe, secure and nurturing family environment where the role of Grandcarer (grandparent and kinship carers of their family’s children) is recognised, supported and valued. To achieve this, we assist Grandcarers to access and care for their children

by providing them with information, support and advocacy, including:

Practical advice and referrals
Financial assistance through our Education and Development Fund
Mobile Outreach and Village Support Program
Sector advocacy
Telephone support service

Our Vision:
All Grandcarers are empowered to provide a safe, secure and nurturing family environment where all children in their care can thrive. Our Purpose:
To provide comprehensive support to Grandcarers through financial assistance, personal support, information provision, and advocacy. We aim to empower Grandcarers to achieve positive outcomes for themselves and the children in their care. Definition of Grandcarer:
Grandcarers are full time carers of, or alienated from, their kin’s children. Grandcarers SA primarily supports grandparents but also supports other full time informal kinship carers.

inviting children aged between 5 and 16
years old to come along to Tea Tree Gully Scout Group and give scouting a try for free!

So good to see the excitement on these boys faces when they got to see the Adelaide Football Club (and Tex's) final home game.
They were able to attend with Grandcarer Tammy thanks to the free tickets provided by Grandcarers SA.
A memory they will have for a lifetime, the Crows won and Tex didn't disappoint!

We have received some free places to attend the bp Adelaide Grand Final on Thursday 26 November. 🏎️🏎️🏁
Tickets are only for singles or doubles, but allow entry into the South Australia Suite.

Registered clients (only) of Grandcarers SA can apply for one or two tickets by:

Advising if one or two tickets are required
And including the full names and telephone numbers of attendees.
Applications must be received by close of business Tuesday 25 August, and will be entered into a draw.
